By utilizing Partner Software, San Bernard Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Texas has been able to track work more efficiently while providing accountability to individuals and departments. The cooperative was originally using a viewer solution that had limited functionality along with a tremendous amount of paper shuffling around the coop which caused information to get lost. To fix this, the cooperative initially purchased the Partner Field Design (staking) package with the Partner Map Viewer to replace their existing solution. San Bernard later purchased the Distribution Inspection and Right of Way applications.
With the Partner Map Viewer along with Distribution Inspection, San Bernard is able to assign work to personnel and/or departments for work to be done. Anyone logged into Partner Web has the ability to check the status of any job on the docket. According to Shawn Bard, “after using Partner for a few years, San Bernard began to realize the capabilities of the software along with the Distribution Inspection application to give us the ability to smoothly push work from the office to the field and vice-versa…. I feel that Partner’s solution met our expectations and then some. It’s become a vital role in our everyday tasks that need to be completed. It also gives us a status report of where we need to focus more of our attention…I would absolutely recommend (as I currently do) Partner to all of my colleagues. We have several other coops visit San Bernard annually to see our processes and they are all very impressed to see how far we’ve stretched all of our existing systems.”
